Property Insurance

 ·         The most accurate way to quote on your home insurance is by going through a home evaluation. With the square footage of your home, number of stories, year built, recent updates, and all the special features your home may have, we can then arrive at the correct insurance replacement cost. Using the RCT Home EvaluRater, this guarantees the replacement cost.

 ·         Other things that come into consideration, are; type of coverage’s you are interested in , important possessions, and liability exposures.

·         Tenant insurance is just as important as it provides coverage for personal liability. This is the part of the policy you look at for protection if you are sued.  (e.g.: the apartment or home you are renting has a fire, and it is found that you are held responsible for the damages.)

Tips

 ·         Prior to leaving on vacation, check with your insurer for any exclusions your policy may have for being away from your premises.

 ·         If you are away for an extended period of time you should have your mail re-routed by the post office. Have someone check on your premises regularly. Shutting off your water may also be suggested over the winter months and draining all pipes and appliances.
